CPIM demands 12% reservations to Muslims with immediate effect

CPI(M) Telangana state secretary Thammineni Veerabhadram demanded that the TRS government provide 12 percent reservations to Muslim thus fulfilling its election promise. Addressing a protest dharna held here at CPI(M) office Hyderabad Collectorate on Monday, he demanded to implement sub plan for Muslim minorities so that the amount released and spent for welfare and prosperity of Muslims could be assessed.

State Secretary CPI(M) also claimed that arranging Iftar parties during Ramadan and distributing sub standard clothes would not bring change in the condition of Muslims. Reacting strongly he asserted that government of Telangana was toying with the sentiments of Muslims by arranging Iftar and distributing clothes.
