CPI(M) complains of highhandedness by MIM at several polling booths, demands re-polling

Sending a letter to Returning Officer GHMC Election 2016, Santosh Nagar Division, Communist Party of India (Marxists) CPI (M), Yaqutpura Zone Committee requested to take strict action against highhandedness of MIM during GHMC elections and demanded to conduct re-polling.

In a statement Mr. Y Jaipal Reddy, Greater Hyderabad South Zone Committee Secretary and Abdul Lateef and Balu told that during GHMC polling on February 2 MIM leader and Yaqutpura MLA Mumtaz Ahmed Khan visited both nos 7, 8, 21, 22, 23, 24, 36 and 39 at 2 pm and drove out the agents of CPI(M), TDP, MBT and other parties except MIM agents. He also torn off the agents’ ID card and forms issued by polling officer. Seeing that 31 percent polling was recorded, MIM workers resorted to rigging and bogus voting.
