The State CPI secretariat, which met here recently has urged President Pranab Mukherji not to give extension of time for debate on the AP Reorganization Bill-2013 in the Assembly
In a letter to the President, State CPI secretary Dr K. Narayana stated, “You have given 40 days time to discuss on the Bill. There was adequate time to discuss on this issue in a democratic manner. Enough time was being wasted in allegations and counter allegations which led to stalling of the proceedings in the Assembly. At least the remaining precious time should not be wasted and the debate should take place properly, with decorum. The legislators, who are participating in the discussion should take this opportunity and strictly adhere to time limit and complete the debate within the stipulated period of 40 days and uphold the dignity of Assembly. Therefore, we request you not to extend time for discussion on the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill-2013.” (NSS)
