CPI urges CM to withdraw decision of demolition of Secretariat bldg

CPI State Council has demanded that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao withdraw his decision on demolition of Secretariat building and shifting its offices to other buildings.

CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy addressed a letter to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao in this regard on Friday. In the letter, he stated that the people were not in a position to digest the fact that the Chief Minister constructed his residence by spending Rs 50 crore and contemplating to lay foundation stone to the new building of Secretariat worth Rs.380 crore without constructing double bed room houses and by not paying bills to the Indiramma houses.

The CPI leader asked the Chief Minister to give up the idea of demolition of Secretariat building and construction of new Secretariat building temporarily. (NSS)
