CPI urges CM to legalise demolished houses in Ayyappa Society

Communist Party of India (CPI) today urged TRS government to provide legality to the properties of the people living in Ayyappa Society as majority of residents belonged to middle class section.
The CPI stated that it was unfortunate the GHMC personnel destroyed the structure without any prior notice on June 24 who have been staying in the land of Ayyappa society after paying Rs 89 crore in 2008 as ULC fees as per the 747 GO.

A fact finding committee of the party found that the action of GHMC officialss was a very hasty. The committee members were: CPI national executive memer Dr K Narayana, CPI state secretary Chad Venkat Reddy, state assistant secretary P Venkat Reddy and CPI Hyderabad city secretary Dr Sudhakar’

The hasty decision of the GHMC has made people homeless, who belonged to middle class society, retired employes, and people belonged to Andhra and Telangana, CPI Telangana state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy said in a statement here.

The party urged Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to immediately intervene and provide legality to the houses constructed in Ayappa society land. (NSS)
