Describing the Congress leaders as blood thirsty tigers, the CPI State Secretary Dr K Narayana has said that having accustomed to kick-backs in liquor trade, they were resorting to all sorts of irregularities and corrupt practices.
The CPI leader on Sunday held discussions with all party leaders here on the Government’s liquor policy. Speaking on the occasion, Dr Narayana demanded that the liquor policy being followed in Tamil Nadu and Delhi should be adopted in our State.
He said that the Ministers who were facing corruption charges should resign their posts, appear before the CBI and protect the honour of the State and it’s people. He taunted the Chief Minister saying that after Jagan’s Odarpu yatra was over, now Kiran Kumar Reddy has started the yatra to console the arrested Ministers.
He suggested to the State Government to postpone the TET scheduled for May 31, keeping in view the state-wide Bandh, call for which was given to protest against the increase in prices of petrol on that day. (NSS)
