CPI seeks revival of CM Relief fund

CPI Legislature Party today sought the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to restore Chief Minister Relief Fund to extend financial aid to poor and middle class for availing health services.
The CPI leader Ravindra Kumar Naik, in a letter addressed to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, expressed concern that non implementation of the scheme resulted in compounding health problems of people in Telangana districts. The people becoming victims include those without white Ration Cards and Arogyasri Cards. There is a need for revival of the CM Relief fund to provide timely succor, he said. He expressed dismay as to why the TRS Government failed to revive such a better scheme which was put on hold since President Rule and till date. He appealed to the Chief Minister to ensure speedy disbursal of Cheques issued long back and clear pending applications seeking funds.(NSS)
