CPI seeks discussion on land distribution

CPI Floor leader J Wilson on Friday moved adjournment motion in the council demanding discussion on land and house sites distribution among poor.

Wilson said that five phases of land distribution took place but it was astonishing that at some places where pattas were given, land was not identified and at some places where land was identified, pattas were not distributed. He appealed to government to take steps for distributing of title deeds to genuine beneficiaries before the end of sixth phase of land and house sites distribution.

Wilson also appealed to government to take suggestions of Koneru Ranga Rao Land Reforms Committee during land and house sites distribution. However, the council chairman Dr A Chakrapani rejected the motion.

CPI floor leader C Seetaramulu on Friday placed adjournment motion in the council demanding discussion on the problems being faced aided teachers. Stating that there many posts were lying vacant in the aided schools, he said that the government was yet to frame service rules for municipal teachers. He said that the teachers were forced to stage dharnas at Indira Park pressing to address them.

However, Council Chairman Dr A Chakrapani rejected the motion and advised him to raise the issue under rule 70.
