CPI protests BJP Govt. on land bill

In protest against Land Acquisition amendment Bill of the NDA Government, CPI today conducted massive agitations and protests across the nation including two Telugu States. In As part of CPI national call to protest the land bill, Telangana CPI State Secretary and former MLA Chada Venkat Reddy along with others conducted a protest rally to Raj Bhavan. However, the police prevented them at Khairatabad cross roads. The police arrested the leaders and sent them to police station. Earlier, Venkat Reddy and other leaders shouted slogans against the Centre for doing a favor to the corporates and big companies. Speaking on the occasion, the left party leader sought the state and central governments to release whitepaper on the land acquired, available and sold. Finding fault with the BJP for adopting double standards, he alleged. Demanding to continue the same bill avoiding amendments he recalled that the BJP did not oppose the UPA regime in 2013 on the land bill.

He accused the BJP government of making an undue favor to corporate sector. He alleged that Narendra Modi Government looting the farmers of 7 crores acres of land allotted for SEZs only to help the corporates. Through this, Modi Government’s real plan of taking share from the corporates came to light he alleged. (NSS)
