Demanding the roll back of the power tariff hike, CPI of A.P. organized ‘Raasta Roko. Former MP of Rajya Sabha, Mr. Syed Aziz Pasha led the programme. As a mark of protest, the effigy of CM Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy was burnt. The traffic was disrupted for hours.
Talking to media persons, Mr. Aziz Pasha said that with the enhancement of power rates, poor men are suffering. He reminded that in the past TDP had to lose power when power rates were increased. If Congress Govt. does not roll back the power rates hike, it has to lose power.
He also said that this kind of agitation will be spread in every nook and corner of the state. Agitation will continue till the hike is taken back.
