CPI plans ‘Chalo Raj Bhavan’ on October 13

Hyderabad, October 06: The CPI will organise Chalo Raj Bhavan programme on October 13 demanding creation of a separate Telangana state.

Speaking to newsmen at the party office here on Tuesday, CPI state secretary K Narayana alleged that though Sakala Janula Samme is going on in Telangana region for the past three weeks affecting normal life, the Congress-led UPA Government has remained a silent spectator without initiating any measures to resolve it.

Coming down heavily on Congress leaders of Andhra, Telangana and Rayalaseema regions, he said they were not really committed to the Telangana cause.

The situation is tense on the Telangana and Andhra border areas resembling that of Indo-Pak border.

The central government should take immediate measures to end the impasse, he said.

The CPI executive meeting which concluded on Tuesday, resolved to send teams to drought-hit areas to study actual conditions.

It also discussed power cuts and impact of Sakala Janula Samme of Telangana Political Joint Action Committee
