State secretary of Communist Party of India (Marxist) B.V. Raghavulu has criticized the State government for denying permission to the Telangana March on pretext of law and order problem.
Stating that the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee has every right to agitate for separate Telangana state, Raghavulu said that it was unfortunate that the government was trying to derail the Telangana March even as the T JAC leaders promised to conduct the March in a peaceful manner. He felt that the Congress was trying to evade Telangana issue in the name of consensus among the parties in the State. He also demanded that the TDP and YSR Congress parties to immediately announce their clear stand on separate Telangana issue.
The CPI-M leader said that it was not proper for the YSR Congress party for keeping silent on the Telangana issue. He also felt that TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s letter to the Prime Minister would put pressure on the Congress to take an early decision on Telangana. (NSS)
