The CPI-M has announced its candidates for four Assembly and one Lok Sabha constituencies in the by-elections slated for June 12.
CPI-M state Secretary B V Raghavulu said that the party will support the Lok Satta candidate in Ongole Assembly segment.
The candidates announced by the party for the Assembly seats are: K Lokanadham (Payakaraopet- Visakhapatnam dt); Thellam Venkateswarlu (Polavaram – West Godavari); Kandarapu Murali (Tiruthpathi – Chittoor dt); and V Rambhoopal Reddy (Ananthpuram).
The party has selected Chandra Rajagopal for the Nellore Lok Sabha seat.
Mr Raghavulu said that party candidates for two more Assembly seats would be announced shortly. The Government’s failures would be the party’s main election plank, he added. (NSS)
