The CPI National Secretary Dr K Narayana has alleged that renegade Maoist Nayeemuddin alias Nayeem , who was killed in an exchange of fire with police, was protected and used by the Governments.
Speaking to media in CPI office at Ongole in Prakasam district today, Narayana alleged that Nayeem was eliminated in an encounter since he was creating problems for KCR family.
Narayana said his party is not against Nayeem killing. He, however, demanded an inquiry by a sitting judge to bring to the fore the details of policemen and political leaders who had utilized the services of this renegade and got benefited.
Referring to special status to Andhra Pradesh, the CPI leader asked why A P chief minister Chandrababu Naidu was not mounting pressure on the centre with the help of those parties which have extended their support for special status issue.
Narayana said that if the union minister M Venkaiah Naidu takes the issue seriously, as he did for passing the GST bill, the special status issue would be resolved.(NSS)
