Expressing happiness over running of the House smoothly, CPI deputy floor leader Koonamneni Sambasiva Rao urged the Speaker to give an opportunity to all the members, who wanted to participate in the debate on the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill-2013.
Speaking at the Assembly media point after the adjournment of the House here on Saturday, Koonamneni said the Chief Minister might demand that the President extend another month’s time in the name of debate and hence the chair has to utilise the four days time in a proper way to avoid further extension of the House. He urged the Speaker to run the House day and night if the Chief Minister wants much time to participate in the debate.
He alleged that the Chief Minister, who wasted the valuable time by removing the Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu, now demanding extension of time for the debate. “It is nothing but a conspiracy to obstruct the Telangana Bill and see that creation of separate Telangana State was shelved”, he bemoaned. He appealed to all political parties to cooperate in creation of the separate Telangana State by participating in the debate judiciously utilize the remaining time in the House. (NSS)
