CPI Flays T Congress

Telangana CPI secretary Chada Venkat Reddy today slammed the Telangana Congress for its allegations.

In a pressnote released here on Friday, Venkat Reddy alleged that the Congress had failed to allot seats to the CPI as per its previous agreement.

During the Khammam Congress Committee review, the party leadership blamed the CPI for its poll debacle, he said. Though the Congress promised to allot 10 MLA seats it gave only seven, he pointed out.

He further alleged that the Congress also tried to hoodwink the CPI by contesting in Maheshwaram which was allotted to the CPI, he said. The Congress also roped in rebel candidates in Munugodu and Bellampalli segments that confused the CPI cadre, he observed. “It is wrong to blame the CPI, which helped the Congress in the elections”, Reddy said and alleged that the Congress did not support their candidates.
