Communist Party of India MLA Sambasiva Rao on Thursday demanded that the state government release a `White Paper’ on the allocation of 65 acres of land in the surroundings of Hyderabad for various firms violating the rules and regulations.
Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, the CPI MLA stated that the government order judicial probe into issue to get comprehensive report as land worth Rs 2,030 crore has been misappropriated. He suspected the involvement of ministers, MLAs and influential officials in the allotment of lands.
Sambasiva Rao demanded that the government take severe action against those found guilty in the land misappropriations and take back lands from their possession. If the government fails to reclaim the lands, he said the CPI would take over those lands and distribute them among poor people. (INN)
