Communist Party of India (CPI) Telangana State Council has demanded the Telangana State government to fulfill the assurances given earlier to the thousands of Sub Station employees.
In a press note issued on Tuesday, CPI Telangana State Council secretary Chada Venkat Reddy said that the Sub Station employees were on strike path because the State government failed to stick to its word given the to them. The farmers will face severe problems if the power supply is interrupted due to the strike, he said and alleged that the previous governments neglected the problems of Sub Station employees.
The employees, who thought that their problems will be solved in the newly formed Telangana State, opted strike as they have no option because the government failed to stick to its word, he said. He said that his Party wants the TRS government to be a practical government rather than confining to words. Sub Station employees too played a key role in Telangana movement similar to other departments employees and it is not proper for the government to neglect them, he added. (NSS)
