CPI demands removal of tainted ministers

CPI State secretary Dr K. Narayana has demanded immediate dismissal of the ministers to whom the Supreme Court issued notices in the illegal assets case against Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Speaking to the media here on Monday, Dr Narayana, who came here to participate in the city conference of his party, said that the stand taken by the CPI about irregularities stood vindicated. He has alleged that though there was no possibility of irregularities occurring without the involvement of ministers, the government has been deliberately making officials the scapegoats and shielding the cabinet members.

The government should open its eyes at least now, with the Apex Court’s Orders and sack the tainted ministers, he said and threatened to launch an agitation, if Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy failed to act. (NSS)
