CPI demands arrest of six tainted ministers

Communist Party of India state secretary K Narayana on Saturday demanded that the State Government immediately arrest the six ministers, who have received notices from the Supreme Court for issuing controversial GOs benefitting YSR Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy in accumulating wealth illegally.

Talking to media persons, Narayana demanded that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy immediately sack the six tainted ministers from the Cabinet and order CBI probe against them. Stating that the IAS officials would not issue such GOs without the involvement of ministers, he criticised the government for not initiating against them. He said that the CBI probe against the ministers would come out with comprehensive details and expose persons behind issue of such GOs. “There is no point in criticizing Jagan Mohan Reddy without initiating action against concerned ministers, who were served notices by the apex court,” he said.

Reiterating that his party would extend full support to the Telangana Rashtra Samithi in the by-election of Parkal Assembly Constituency, Narayana said that he would also participate in the by-election campaign.
He also informed that his party has called for staging dharnas in front of Excise offices across the state on May 25 in protest against the failure of excise officials in preventing hooch deaths and belt shops in Krishna district.
