CPI National Secretary Sudhakar Reddy said that it wrong to link the armed struggle of Telangana with any religion.
Addressing a seminar at Sundarayya Vignan Kendram on the occasion of Hyderabad Liberation Day on Thursday, Sudhakar Reddy warned the TRS Government against praising Nizam’s Rule. He said by praising Nizam, KCR was directly insulting freedom fighters like Chukkala Ellama and Maqdoom Mohiuddin and by praising Nizam, KCR could not get Muslim votes. He alleged that the party formed by Razakars was opposing the celebration of Hyderabad Liberation Day.
The CPI leader also expressed concern over increase in incidents of suicides by farmers across Telangana State. He warned that the Left parties would organise massive protest if the State Government fails to act on farmers suicides.
Speaking about the Patel Reservation movement, he said that it was aimed at scrapping the entire reservation system from the country. He said that the CPI was not against the development of poor people of upper castes. (INN)
