The CPI has severely condemned the attack on the 14th National Conferences of Indian Peoples’ Theatre Arts (IPTA) at Indore, Madhya Pradesh by the RSS and BJP activists here on Tuesday.
In a note, the CPI national secretary Dr K Narayana described the attack on cultural meetings as act of anti-democratic act. The attack was reflected the BJP government’s dictatorial attitude, he opined and said that there won’t be any discrimination towards arts and artists in any corner of the world. “But attacks have become a common feature after BJP came to power at Centre”, he alleged urging the democrats to condemn the attacks.
