CPI calls people to fight for social Telangana

CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy has called upon the people to wage war against the TRS government for the people and social Telangana.

Participating in Telangana Formation Day celebrations here on Thursday organized by the CPI Greater Hyderabad Committee, Chada said the Left, progressive and democratic forces will come forward as an alternative force by 2019 in the State. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao succeeded 100 percent in party defections instead of development and welfare of the people.

Expressing unhappiness over KCR’s statement that there was no political corruption in the State, Chada said that the political corruption increased highly in the last two years. He alleged that Telangana betrayers have become left and right hands to the Chief Minister. He said one has to speak about Telangana Armed Struggle if one wants to speak about Telangana.

Finding fault with the KCR for stating that the formation of separate State was possible only because of him, Chada said the formation of Telangana was possible only with the fighting spirit of all sections. He made it clear that the Osmania University had given boost to the movement and the fight of Osmania University students brought separate Telangana. He said the CPI stood in the first row in the separate Telangana movement and it will continue its fight for social justice.

The Chief Minister, who encouraged party defections, failed to construct double bed room houses and distributing three acre land to dalits but speaking about democratic values, Chada ridiculed. He said Osmania University, which stood as a movement center during Telangana movement, has now become a protest center.

Prof. K Nageshwar said that the people of Telangana fought for the sake of social Telangana. “Telangana state doesn’t mean a mere geographical map…Telangana means farmers, laborer, Singareni, Pochampally”, he said. He warned the TRS government saying that the people would demolish the government in case it failed to clear the problems of the Telangana people. He asked the government to provide water to every acre as the agriculture sector fell in crisis. He said that 3 lakh dalits have no land and Rs 50,000 crore was needed to distribute land to them.

CPI state executive member VS Bose, Greater Hyderabad secretary ET Narsimha, State leaders Kandimalla Prathap Reddy, Prem Pavani, Pashya Padma, BSR Mohan Reddy, R Shanker Naik, Ravindra Chary, Yadi Reddy participated in the meeting.

Earlier, VS Bose hoisted national flag in front of the Press Club. City leaders—Boddupally Kishan, B Venkataiah, B Venkatesham, AIYF state president B Ramulu Yadav participated in the flag hoisting program. (NSS)
