CPI floor leader G Mallesh on Tuesday appealed to Assembly Speaker Nadendla Manohar and Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to take measures to resolve the junior doctors issue as their strike has paralyzed the health services in the State, particularly the emergency services.
Talking to media persons at Assembly media point, Mallesh suggested that the Speaker and the Chief Minister focus their attention on the junior doctors’ strike as the helpless patients have been suffering due to their stir.
The CPI leader said that the Speaker instead of adjourning the House frequently, should give top priority for discussions on the problems being faced by the people. He said steps should be taken for the smooth conduct of the Assembly session in a harmonious manner instead of adjourning the House frequently on flimsy issues. “If Speaker keeps adjourning the House frequently, when the House will discuss the problems being faced by the people,” he asked.
Mallesh also appealed to the Speaker and Chief Minister to make efforts to introduce the resolution on Telangana as promised by former chief minister K Rosaiah. He said that the CPI would extend full support for the BJP and TRS, if they press for moving a resolution on Telangana in the assembly. (INN)
