CPI accuses TDP, BJP of enacting dramas on T bill

CPI State secretary K Narayana today flayed the Centre for failing to take remedial measures in the wake of political crisis in the State. He also alleged that Telugu Desam Party and BJP played dramas in Parliament with regard to Telangana Bill as per their “Secret Agenda” to prevent bifurcation process.
Talking to the media here on Tuesday, the CPI leader said they could not prevent the bill. Despite a promise of getting four seats from the TDP, the BJP could not prevent the bifurcation process. Actually the TD made a vain bid to rope in the BJP against the bifurcation, he alleged. The CPI leader also alleged that the Centre was least bothered about taking appropriate action in Andhra Pradesh after Kiran Kumar Reddy resigned as Chief Minister.
Though Kiran quit last week, the Centre is still inconclusive on initiating further steps, he alleged. He flayed the BJP for playing dual standards on extending support to Telangana State. While Sushma Swaraj supported the T bill in Lok Sabha, M Venkaiah Naidu played a drama of sorts in Rajya Sabha by insisting on justice to Seemandhra. It can be attributed to the double talk of the BJP, he said. He also accused the BJP of indulging in political drama for gain in forthcoming general elections.
Dr Narayana opined that the TDP and the BJP were trying to go together in the elections but differences cropped up at the beginning itself. The parties cannot fool the people, who are intelligent, he said. He also alleged that TDP and BJP are colluding for gain in politics. When Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde questioned Venkaiah Naidu for his reverse gear on Telangana, the latter could not respond in Rajya Sabha, he criticized. (NSS)
