CP pats cops for solving child kidnap case in five hours

City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar today said they identified the woman, who kidnapped baby girl from Koti Maternity Hospital on July 2, within five hours.

Speaking to the media here on Wednesday, Anjani Kumar said the woman abducted children twice in the past. He said the East Zone and Task Force personnel launched a hunt for the woman and cracked the case through CC Cameras easily. He also said they took help of Bidar police as the woman took the child to Bidar. The police team went to Bidar within five hours and identified the woman through her photography. The CP said the woman fled on a two-wheeler.
Anjani Kumar said they asked the Hospital Superintendent to ensure that no such incident repeated in future. He congratulated ACP Chethana for playing pivotal role in chasing the case. He also disclosed that the child’s mother informed them that she would name the child after Chethana. The CP said two suspects were arrested in Bidar and being interrogated. (NSS)
