Aligarh: In a shocking incident occurred in a town of Aligarh, live cows were buried believing to be dead. The matter came to light when the locals saw the cows struggling to come out of the pit. A large number of people thronged the farm as the news broke out. Hundreds of farmers came to the spot and rescued the scrambling cows. Five cows came out alive. Later the agitated farmers staged protest jamming Mathura Aligarh highway while shouting slogans against the Yogi government.
An eyewitness told that the cows were buried in the presence of police and the unholy act has been carried out under the supervision of the police. Cows were buried alive in a pit by a canal near the Tikapir village which falls under the jurisdiction of Iglas police station area.
The Superintendent of Police, Manilal Patidar assured the protestors that strict action will be taken against the miscreants.
There has been a spurt in the illicit activities against cows in Uttar Pradesh. Recently violence in Bulandshahr erupted after the carcasses of cows were found hanging in the farms.
