A detailed report was published in Siasat on Sunday, December 14, about a UP-born Pandit Ram Dulare Mishra sitting near the historical Charminar with a cow, selling the grass to people who buy the grass and feed the cow. The objective behind publishing the story was to avoid any further controversy about the historical place and keep the surrounding clean in view of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan announced by the Prime Minister. Police was appealed to immediately end this drama. Consequently police very sensibly and peacefully resolved the matter.
It is learnt from the police that Mishra is now sitting with his cow near the Charminar Telephone exchange building opposite to Sardar Mahal. He is directed not to sit near Charminar.
