COVID: Health minister warns pvt hospitals against overcharging

Hyderabad: Telangana health minister E. Rajender has warned private hospitals against charging COVID-19 patients beyond rates allowed by the state government. He directed the healthcare centres to charge fees prescribed by the state and also to win the trust of the people with their “noble act”.      

Rajender asked people to be vigilant with regard to COVID-19 and appealed to them to follow instructions directed to them by the health department. The minister instructed officials, as the number of cases in the state have been on the rise, and also in the neighbouring states. the attention should be on those who are coming from villages to states, he stated.

The health minister asked people aged above 45 years to also take the vaccine, and requested others to undergo a COVID-19 test if they feel or show symptoms of the disease. He asked the health department officials to once again work in a “war-like mode” to contain the virus’s spread and ensure the availability of medicines and essentials for the public.
