Court reserves order on Gali’s PA PT warrant

The CBI Special Court at Nampally on Friday reserved its orders till June 14 on the petition filed by the CBI seeking to bring former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy’s personal assistant Ali Khan on Prisoner Transit (PT) warrant to Hyderabad in connection with the Obulapuram Mining Corporation illegal mining case.

Ali khan is presently lodged in Bangalore jail along with Gali Janardhan Reddy. CBI Judge Justice A Pullaiah reserved the order after completion of arguments and counter arguments from both sides.

Ali Khan’s counsel opposed the CBI’s petition of bringing his client on PT warrant. The counsel said that the CBI has mentioned in its memo that Ali Khan was an accused was incorrect and added the investigating agency had also not incorporated his name either in the FIR or in charge sheet. The counsel prayed that the judge reject the CBI’s plea.

The special court also adjourned the petition of Gali Janardhan Reddy and B V Srinivas Reddy urging the CBI to release their helicopter and other seized vehicles, to June 12.
