The ACB court on Saturday rejected the special class prisoner status petition of T Pattabhirama Rao, the judge who was suspended following bribery allegations in the cash-for-bail case and languished in Cherlapally jail.
The court rejected his petition following objections raised by ACB counsel.
Earlier, Pattabhirama Rao moved petition seeking special class prisoner status in the court on the basis of precarious health condition. However, the ACB counsel objected for this.
Meanwhile the court granted five days ACB custody for Pattabhi’s son Ravichandra and another former judge T V Chalapathi Rao in the case.
The court took this decision following ACB counsel petition seeking five days of the two for custodial interrogation.
