A district court here today permitted police to take blood sample of father of a teenager Navroona, who is missing for over 100 days, for DNA matching test. The permission was granted by Chief Judicial Magistrate S P Singh. 14-year old Navroona is suspected to have been kidnapped by unknown persons on September 18, 2012 in Muzaffarpur and the police has no clue about it till now. Social workers are agitating over the issue regularly. In November last year, a dead body was recovered from near the house of Navroona. Forensic test of the body revealed that it belonged to a girl aged around 14-15 years. The district police had requested the girl’s father for DNA test to which he had refused to give sample. The police later moved to court for the sample. The family of the missing girl is demanding a CBI probe into the matter. PTI
