The Nampally Court on Wednesday ordered immediate release of actress Swetha Basu Prasad, who was lodged in a State Home in connection with a sex racket.
It may be mentioned here that the national award winning child artiste and heroine of “Kotha Bangaru Lokam” was sent to rescue home run by the Women & Child Welfare department in connection with a sex racket. She was arrested from a hotel on charges of indulging in flesh trade. Recently, the court rejected Swetha’s mother’s petition seeking custody of her daughter. However, today’s court order has come as a relief for the actress. (NSS)
