Hyderabad, July 17: A Court today directed the Cherlapally prison authorities to conduct medical tests on Viqaruddin Ahmed alias Viqar, who was arrested and remanded in judicial remand by the city police yesterday.
The court was responding to a petition filed by the counsel for Viqar who alleged that the latter was subjected to torture in the name of interrogation. The magistrate asked the Cherlapally prison authorities to conduct a medical test on Viqar and submit a report to him by Monday.
Viqar demands food from outside
HYDERABABD: Abusing the jail staff and refusing to eat the jail food, Viqaruddin on Friday continued to pester the Cherlapally jail authorities with the demand that he be given the food brought from hotels outside.
