A court here on Thursday ordered the police to register FIR against Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) leader Akbaruddin Owaisi over a communally provocative speech made by him, while the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy assured that “anyone who hurts sentiments will be dealt with as per law.”
The case regarding the hate speech made by Akbaruddin nearly 10 days ago on December 24, 2012 in Adilabad will come up for hearing at 4 pm on Thursday. The court order came on a petition filed by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Alternately, another court here will deliver its order later today against Akbaruddin in a case related to a provocative speech made by him in Adilabad district on December 24.
The MIM leader, in his almost two-hour long speech on Dec 24 at Nirmal town in Adilabad, allegedly tried to instigate the crowd by calling for a “test of strength” against a community.
