Badaun(UP), April 06: A local court here today ordered attachment of official car, furniture and telephone of a Senior Superintendent of Police for non-compliance of its order regarding compensation in an accident case.
Additional Sessions Judge Abrar Ahmad issued the order against the SSP D K Chaudhary after taking a serious cognisance of non-compliance.
Brijesh Singh was seriously injured after being hit by a police jeep at a railway crossing in civil lines area on January 14, 1999, prosecution said.
Singh later filed an accidental claim of Rs 1.9 lakh against additional director general of police and the department.
The court later directed the police to pay Rs 55,446 to Singh, but the order was not complied with despite several notices of the court.
The court has directed to apprise it with action taken report by April 15.
