A local Bangalore court on Wednesday ordered that summons be issued to Mumbai-based model Poonam Pandey after it admitted a private complaint accusing her of hurting religious sentiments by posing semi-nude holding a photograph of Lord Vishnu with the face of Sachin Tendulkar which was uploaded on You Tube.
The sixth additional chief metropolitan magistrate Churi Khan directed her to appear on February 26 next. Advocate S Umesh in his complaint filed in May said Poonam had made a statement last year that she would pose nude along with Indian cricketers if India won the World Cup against Pakistan.
And when India won the cup in April 2011,she had reportedly posed semi-nude with the photograph to cheer the winning team and later uploaded it on You Tube.
