A Gujarat court is likely to hear a fresh petition filed by Zakia jafri, wife of slain Congress MP Ehsan Jafri on Wednesday in the Gulbarg Society case. The petition was filed by Zakia Jafri and Teesta Setalvad-led Citizens for Justice and Peace seeking the copies of the SIT report filed
in the Gulbarg case stating that they have an apprehension that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has not filed the complete report in the case as directed by the apex court.
They also want to know whether they will be allowed to read the SIT report in the courtroom or not.
Earlier, the court had deferred its order on Zakia Jafri’s petition to get access to a copy of the report and asked the SIT to submit all documents related to the case on which it has based its final report against Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi and others.
The court had asked the SIT to submit the complete set of papers till March 15.
