Court grants custody of Nayeem’s aides to police

The Rajendra Nagar Court has granted permission to the police to take gangster Nayeem’s followers — Farhana and Afsana — into custody for six more days.

On Tuesday, the Court issued orders allowing the police to take the two women into their custody from 10 am on August 17 to 5 pm on August 22. Already the police interrogated the duo for three days. To seek further information, the police filed a petition in the court seeking custody of the two for 12 more days. But the Court on Tuesday granted six day custody.

It is learnt that the police were going to Mumbai, Maharashtra, Bihar, Chattisgarh and Goa to investigate Nayeem’s assets in those States. The police would take the two women along with them to find Nayeem’s assets in other States. (NSS)
