A Criminal Court at Nampally on Thursday granted five days CID custody for K V Reddy, vice president of IND Bharat Energies (Maharashtra), who was arrested in connection with the Call Data Record (CDR) leakage involving CBI Joint Director V V Lakshminarayana.
The court gave this direction following a petition filed by CID seeking his custody for investigations. CID Public Prosecutor Dr K Ajay informed the court five days of custody of Reddy was needed to crack the CDR leakage case of Lakshminarayana. He said that KV Reddy gave the police complaint to cover up the operation at the behest of prime accused Raghu Rama Krishna Raju, a close relative of former government advisor KVP Ramachandra Rao.
He also said that the conspiracy was done to malign the image of CBI Joint Director. (INN)
