The CBI Special Court on Monday extended the judicial custody of Jagathi Publications vice-chairman Vijay Sai Reddy till March 16. He is an accused in the disproportionate assets case of YSR Congress party president Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The court also posted the next hearing on bail petition of Vijay Sai Reddy to March 16.
During the hearing on bail petition on Monday, Vijay Sai Reddy’s counsel argued that his client could not be booked under Section 409 of the IPC as he is not a public servant. However, the CBI’s counsel defended probing agency’s stand.
Meanwhile, the CBI special court also adjourned the hearing on bail petition of N Sunil Reddy, a close aide of Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and accused in Emaar Properties case, to March 6.
