Court extends judicial remand of Nimmagadda, KVB till June 21

The CBI Special Court, Nampally, on Tuesday extended the judicial remand of noted industrialist Nimmagadda Prasad, the promoter of VANPIC and a senior bureaucrat K V Brahmananda Reddy till June 21.

The Special Court gave these directions when they were produced in the court through video conference following expiry of their custody. Following directions of the court, both were shifted to the Chanchalguda Central Jail under tight police security.

Earlier, the CBI has filed a memo seeking extension of their custody as the investigation reached peak point. Contending with the probing agency, the court extended their custody.

The probing agency arrested both of them in connection with illegal assets case against Y S R Congress president Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Nimmagadda Prasad has been named as 12th accused among 74 in the First Information Report filed by CBI in August last against Jagan Mohan Reddy and others.
