The Andhra Pradesh High Court today quashed the bail petition of suspended senior IAS officer Sri Lakshmi, who was arrested in the illegal Obulapuram Mining Company involving former Karnataka Minister Gali Janardhana Reddy.
She is accused of passing a controversial government order permitting Obulapuram Mining Company for digging iron ore in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh .
The suspended Senior IAS officer was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation(CBI) and was currently lodged in Chanchalguda jail under judicial custody here. Srilakshmi’s advocate argued that his client be granted bail as there was no progress in the case by the CBI.
However, the court canceled her bail petition as the CBI was conducting its investigation. UNI
