A couple, who reportedly eloped and got married, were today kept in custody by Modinagar police following a complaint filed by the girl’s family.
Station Officer of Modi Nagar Police said the couple, who got married in a nearby temple yesterday, have been kept
in custody keeping in mind their “safety”.
It is a preventive measure to avoid any honour killing, he said, adding the husband and wife were in their early 20s.
