Etawah: A couple allegedly committed suicide by jumping in a river along with their two children in Badhpura area here, police said today.
Manoj Singh Tomar (30) and his wife Jyoti (26) jumped into the Chambal river along with their son Prince (6) and daughter Ritika (4) yesterday, SHO, Badhpura, Ramakant Dubey said.
A diary was recovered from the bridge on Etawah-Gwalior highway following which the family of deceased was informed, he said.
Family dispute was stated to be the reason behind the suicide, the SHO said, adding efforts are underway to recover the bodies.
