Hyderabad, April 19: A couple allegedly leapt to their death from the fourth floor of a prominent mall here today, apparently after the youth expressed his unhappiness over his beloved being friendly with another man, police said.
Vinod Ravikumar (24) and B Sridevi (19), both employees of the mall and hailing from Bidar in Karnataka and Nepal respectively had been in an affair for some time. The duo allegedly jumped from the fourth floor of the building at around 9 am, police said.
Vinod died on the spot while Sridevi succumbed to her injuries at a hospital, a police officer said.
On the basis of the suicide note purportedly written by Vinod, an investigating officer said the youth was unhappy over Sridevi’s friendly relations with an another young man.
