A local court today sentenced a couple to life imprisonment for killing their neighbour by setting her on fire last year.
District and Sessions Judge, Fatehgarh Sahib, also imposed a fine of Rs 30,000 each.
The Khamano police had registered a case against Hardeep Singh, a resident of Bharri village and his wife Amandeep Kaur on November 14, 2011.
In her dying statement, Kulwinder Kaur had said that the couple had set her on fire after a petty fight, prosecution said.
