Couple and associate were under arrest for deceiving 15 job aspirants

Vidyaranyapura police on thursday arrested Gayathri Reddy, 35, her husband Lakshmikanth, 40and their associate on a charge of cheating several people by promising them jobs with software companies.

The couple is from Nanjappa Layout, and their associate Krishna, 36, were running a fictitious firm, ‘Dream at Job’., According to police,“pocketed” Rs 90,000 each from 15 people, with a promise to place them in software companies,. Vidyaranyapura police detained them when one one of the alleged victims,named Madhusudhan, made a complaint.

Madhusudhan met Gayathri Reddy at the “firm’s” office and she told him that she had contacts in major software companies and could easily place anyone there.

“I got an offer letter from a company, mentioning the appointment date but when I reported for duty that day, the company staff said that nobody had been given a job,” Madhusudhan said. “It was then I realised I had been taken for a ride.” During interrogation, Reddy is said to have confessed to “cheating” 15 job aspirants.
