New Tehri: Three persons, including a couple, were killed today when the car they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge near Devprayag in Uttarakhand’s Tehri district.
The accident took place in Mulya village situated between Devprayag and Kirtinagar on the Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway, killing the couple on the spot and leaving another woman travelling with them seriously injured, Tehri SSP N S Napalchyal said.
The woman died during treatment at the hospital, he said.
The victims were on their way to Tharali, police said.
The couple has been identified as Dehradun residents– Bachan Singh and Nandini. The other woman has not been identified yet, they added.
