Corruption charges against executive director MFC_ office, residence raided

After complaints of large scale corruption in implementation of schemes of Minority Finance Corporation, action has been taken against Executive Director Rangareddy district. Raid was conducted at the office and residence of Executive Director Minority Finance Corporation Rangareddy district Abdul Hameed and many files were seized and his office was sealed.

Managing Director Minority Finance Corporation Prof. S A Shukoor took this action following repeated complaints by people of various areas of Rangareddy. Charges of bribe seeking have been proved during the primary investigations. The officer had illegally kept 56 such files at her residence for which banks had agreed to sanction loan. By holding back those files he was collecting thousands of rupees from the applicants.

It is said that a team comprising of General Manager Vilayat Husain and Regional Managers Abid Ali and Amjad Pasha conducted a raid at the office of ED and seized the files. Statements of people and staff present in the office were recorded which include complaints against executive director. The team also raided ED’s residence and seized 56 files. Managing Director told that Rangareddy district collector had approved 950 applications on February 18 but the concerned officials were handing over sanction letter after taking bribe. Candidates belonging to Pargi, Viqarabad and other areas complained managing director in this connection, on the basis of which the action was taken.
